For Professionals

SORT is a virtual therapeutic service supporting parents and carers of children with social, emotional and/or mental health needs. We work with families to help improve communication and to support parents/carers to understand what is going on for their child/young person through the use of a range of evidence based, specialist interventions. We work together with families and professionals to develop a formulation based on both the individual and the family system around them. We will then recommend and provide tailored support in order to create lasting change. As well as supporting families we offer services to professionals through consultation to help introduce new and different thinking to those who are working to support a child and their family.

Our team has over 20 years experience within local authorities, residential care and both inpatient and community CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service). Our qualified clinicians are registered with independent governing bodies such as Social Work England, UKCP and HCPC. For details of specific qualifications and training please see Who we are page.  For more information about who we help please see Who we help page.
