My Story
Elicia is a Counselling Psychologist with over 16 years’ experience working therapeutically across a range of settings.

They are particularly passionate about supporting neurodivergent young people and adults to explore and understand their identity. A key part of their work includes supporting those experiencing autistic burnout, as well as offering neuroaffirming approaches to autism identification.

Elicia is a qualified Counselling Psychologist, registered with the HCPC. They have completed Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) Levels 1 and 2 and are trained in administering the Autism Diagnostic Interview (ADI-R).

Their additional training includes Attachment Narrative Therapy, neurodiversity-affirming therapeutic approaches for autistic and ADHD clients, and specialist training in autistic burnout, neurodivergent wellbeing, and autism identification assessments for both adolescents and adults.

Elicia’s experience includes working in specialist colleges, CAMHS, autism identification services, pupil referral units and schools. They currently work in private practice with both children and adults, with a focus on identity exploration, autistic burnout and assessment work.

Advocacy is central to Elicia’s approach. They have extensive experience supporting young people and families within education and health systems, including contributing to EHCP processes. Supporting individuals to better understand and advocate for their own needs is an important part of their work.

Elicia works in a person-centred way, holding the belief that each individual is the expert in their own experience. As an AuDHD individual, they bring both professional and lived understanding to their work, alongside a strong commitment to social justice and creating spaces where people feel understood, respected and empowered with a clear understanding of how tricky it can be to navigate a neurotypical world.
